VEEDERSBURG — Gail H. Krise, 78,
rural Veedersburg, died at 8:22 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006 in St. Clare Medical
Center, Crawfordsville. He was born May 4, 1928 in Linden, the son of Homer and
Sylvia (Swisher) Krise. He married Martha Harrold in 1950. She survives. He was
a graduate of Linden High School. He formerly owned Krisekare doing mechanical
work and had also worked in management at Mid States Wire in Crawfordsville. He
was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church of Newtown. Survivors, besides the
wife, include: a son, Doug (Patty) Krise, Bloomington, a daughter, Becky (Rick)
Walden, Scholcraft, Mich., a brother, Don A. Krise, Grand Rapids, Mich.; four
sisters, Maxine Dawson, St. Cloud, Fla., Jeane Minneman, Wildwood, Fla.,
Carolyn K. Anderson, Florida, and Lois Wood, Boulder City, Nev.; three
grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his
parents and a brother. Funeral services were at 5 p.m. Saturday in Shoemaker
Funeral Home, Waynetown, with the Rev. Jerry Miller of Hopewell Baptist Church
officiating. Cremation will follow the services. Memorial contributions may be
made to either the American Cancer Society or to the Hopewell Baptist Church.
